Endodontist, MPH · Clinical Content Lead & Co-Founder
Dr. Silppa grew up between Al Ain and Dubai, then moved to India to study dentistry. She earned her BDS and went on to specialize in endodontics at A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore, completing her post-graduate training in 2017. After graduation, she worked in several highly reputable dental offices across India, both in practice and as a consultant, building deep hands-on clinical experience alongside a strong foundation in applied dental science.
In 2021, she made the move to the United States, where she pursued a Master's in Public Health at the University of New Haven in Connecticut. While completing her MPH, she began preparing for the INBDE, spending six months studying while balancing school, finances, and the reality of being new to the country.
During that preparation, she spent money on some of the bigger INBDE platforms. Some of them didn't help as much as she'd hoped. Midway through her prep, she changed her approach entirely, shifting to high-volume practice questions, and that's what made the difference. She passed the INBDE on her first attempt.
That experience stuck with her. She saw firsthand how stressful the INBDE journey is, especially for international dentists who are juggling a new country, tight finances, and the pressure of a high-stakes exam, often without clear guidance on where to start, how to study, or how to think through the material. She wanted to build something affordable, student-focused, and built around the approach that actually worked for her. That's how Blip Dental came to be.
Dr. Silppa writes all of the clinical content and practice questions on Blip. Every question is grounded in her experience as a practicing endodontist who went through this exact process and came out the other side.
