Terms of Use
Last updated: July 27, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Blip Dental website and application located at blip.dental (“Service”), operated by Harrison East (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Blip Dental is an INBDE (Integrated National Board Dental Examination) question bank and practice tool. The Service provides practice questions, quiz modes, topic drills, full-length mock examinations, performance analytics, and related study features for dental exam preparation. We also offer one-on-one coaching services, described in Section 6.
The Service is an educational practice tool. It is not a substitute for formal dental education, professional clinical training, or official exam preparation materials published by the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE). We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing the INBDE or any other examination.
2. Accounts
To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You can sign up with an email address and password, or through Google OAuth.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it current. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not share your account with others, create multiple accounts, or transfer your account to another person.
3. Age Requirements
There is no minimum age requirement to use the Service. However, the Service is designed for dental students and professionals preparing for professional licensure examinations. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the Service.
4. Free and Paid Plans
The Service offers a free tier with limited access and paid subscription plans (“Pro”) with additional features. Current pricing and plan details are available at blip.dental/pricing.
New users receive a free trial at signup: full core access for 7 days or 250 questions, whichever comes first. After the trial, free plan users receive a daily recharge of 10 questions. Free plan and trial terms are subject to change, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes.
Pro plans provide unlimited daily questions, topic drilling, mock exams, all quiz modes, analytics, and other features as described on our pricing page. Certain features, including topic drills and mock examinations, are available only on paid plans and are not included in the free trial or free tier.
Pro access may also be included with the purchase of a coaching package, as described in Section 6. Bundled Pro access is tied to your account, is non-transferable, and runs for the duration stated in the applicable coaching package.
5. Payments and Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing to a Pro plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.
Recurring billing. All subscription plans, including monthly, 3-month, and annual, renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until canceled.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until your paid period ends.
Refunds. We handle subscription refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@blip.dental. We are not obligated to provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused questions, except where required by applicable law. Refunds for coaching packages are governed by Section 6.
Price changes. We may change our pricing at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers will take effect at the start of the next billing period following reasonable notice.
6. Coaching Services
We offer one-on-one INBDE coaching services, including a one-time strategy assessment and multi-session coaching packages. Current offerings, pricing, and package details are available at blip.dental/coaching.
Booking and payment. Coaching services are purchased and scheduled through Acuity Scheduling, a third-party booking service. Payment for coaching is collected at the time of purchase through Acuity, and your use of Acuity is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
Session expiration. Coaching sessions must be used within the usage window stated for your package at the time of purchase. Sessions that remain unused when the window expires are forfeited.
Refunds and cancellation. Unused coaching sessions are non-refundable after the package’s usage window expires. If you wish to cancel a coaching package, contact us at support@blip.dental before your usage window expires and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis. Sessions that have already been delivered are non-refundable. We are not obligated to provide refunds except where required by applicable law.
Rescheduling. If you need to reschedule a booked session, please give us reasonable advance notice through the booking system or by contacting us. Sessions missed without notice may be counted as used.
Included Pro access. Coaching packages that include Blip Pro access grant that access to your account for the stated duration. Bundled access is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is not refundable separately from the package. If you already have an active paid subscription, we will extend your access accordingly.
Nature of coaching. Coaching consists of study strategy, planning, and exam-preparation guidance. It is educational support, not formal instruction, clinical training, or professional advice, and the No Pass Guarantee in Section 12 applies to coaching services as well as to the rest of the Service.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reproduce, redistribute, scrape, or systematically download questions, explanations, or other content from the Service
- Use the Service to create a competing product or service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service
- Attempt to circumvent free tier limits, authentication, or access controls
- Share your account credentials or provide access to your account to others
- Upload, transmit, or distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service, including but not limited to practice questions, explanations, scoring algorithms, software, design, branding, and text, is owned by Harrison East or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Service.
9. User Data and Performance Information
The Service collects and stores information about your quiz performance, including answers, scores, timing, tags, and analytics. This data is used to power features like Adaptive sessions, analytics, and peer comparison statistics.
Aggregate, anonymized performance data (such as per-question accuracy rates and average response times) may be used across all users to provide features like peer benchmarks and algorithmic difficulty scoring. No individual user’s performance data is shared in an identifiable form with other users.
10. Gamification and Virtual Items
The Service includes gamification features such as XP, levels, streaks, badges, personal bests, and in-app games with virtual resources and collectibles. These features exist for motivation and entertainment only. Virtual items, points, and progress have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash or anything of value, and cannot be sold or transferred. We may modify, rebalance, or reset gamification features and virtual items at any time without compensation.
11. Content Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that all practice questions and explanations are clinically accurate and representative of INBDE content. All clinical content is written or reviewed by qualified dental professionals.
However, we do not warrant that all content is free from errors. Dental science evolves, exam content changes, and mistakes can occur. If you believe a question or explanation contains an error, you can report it through the in-app reporting feature. The Service should be used as a supplement to, not a replacement for, your overall exam preparation.
12. No Pass Guarantee
We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using the Service, including passing the INBDE or achieving any particular score. This applies to all parts of the Service, including question practice, mock examinations, and coaching. Individual results depend on many factors beyond the scope of this Service.
13. Availability and Modifications
We strive to keep the Service available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to active subscribers.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (subscription payments), Acuity Scheduling (coaching bookings and payments), Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), Google (OAuth authentication), Resend (email delivery), Microsoft Clarity (usage analytics), and Notion (coaching study plan workspaces). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HARRISON EAST AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR EXAM OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Harrison East and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings page, or by contacting us at support@blip.dental. Deleting your account permanently removes your quiz history, performance data, and other personal data, and immediately cancels any active subscription. No refund is issued for the unused portion of a billing period, except as described in Section 5.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
21. Contact
